I'm glad you were able to sort it out. Unfortunately I think they only made these support files available during the beta cycle for macOS Sonoma 14.0. At that time they were listed in the Apple Developer downloads page. My hope is that they'll do a better job this year when it comes time to test macOS 15. I also plan on integrating this support installation into VirtualBuddy if possible. |

Thanks so much for the reply Guilherme. And yes, I kind of guessed that was the case. Hopefully anyone else on still on 13 Ventura hoping to install a 14 Sonoma VM will see my comment and download the file from the link. Take care, and keep up the good work:) |

Hi All -
I started playing around with Virtual Buddy earlier today. It's pretty neat (and thanks for all the hard work!).
I have macOS 13.6.6 Ventura on my M1 MacBook Pro. I wanted to try installing a macOS 14 Sonoma VM with Virtual Buddy. Unfortunately Xcode 14.3.1's automated system to download the macOS 14 DeviceSupport installer failed repeatedly. After scouring the web I was able to find a direct download to the macOS 14 Beta 4 Device Support installer here: https://download.developer.apple.com/Developer_Tools/Device_Support_for_macOS_14_beta_4/Device_Support_for_macOS_14_beta.dmg Manually downloading and installing it allowed Virtual Buddy to complete its 14 Sonoma install.
Questions: I searched all over my Apple Developer Account for macOS DeviceSupport files. But I can't seem to find them. Can someone tell me where Apple keeps these files? Or how to download them manually via Xcode? Is there a newer Sonoma DeviceSupport file than Beta 4 that I should have installed on my 13.6.6 Ventura?
Thanks!
