Universal metadata:

dates when sensor is partially or fully operational
standard frequency of readings
name of data provider (e.g. www.nettraveldata.co.uk)
when there are gaps in readings, does the first post-gap reading cumulatively make up for the time missed?
confidence intervals of sensor readings

Metadata specific to road sensors:

more specific location data including road name and ref
whether cameras cover the whole road or just one or more lanes, in one direction or both directions
when multiple sensors seem to cover the same location, how are they differentiated? (e.g. do different sensor represent different lanes?)
what proportion of plates are being recorded and what is the level of confidence in this?
