dsm no longer works as expected

Hello,

When cursor inside $$ 1 + 2 = 3 $$ (for example next to the equal sign) dsm does nothing or sometimes deletes the last couple of $$ resulting in : $$ 1 + 2 = 3.

I only have noticed the problem since recent doom upgrade. Prior to the upgrade it usually deleted only the most inner $ symbols resulting in : $ 1 + 2 = 3 $.

Am I posting to the right place ?
