Captive not opening for Android device

This is a great way to save the credentials and I am really liking this approach.
But somehow it is not working for my Redmi 9 Pro. It is working fine for all iOS devices and Macs. I don't have a clue why not for this device. I get a response when connecting telling me on the screen:

Page not available 

The page http://connect.rom.miui.com/generate_204 could not be loaded, because: net::ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED

And the Arduino is hanging in the loop at line 376. Seems like something is not working with the DNS stuff ...

Any hint how to solve this?
