I have very much not forgotten about this project. It's needed for the next-gen version of tasks in mise so it's something I definitely want to hit v1 on. Right now though, my focus in OSS is on getting windows support and the backends out of experimental in mise.
The reality is this is basically half done. I would not suggest adopting it today unfortunately.
Don't expect a lot of activity within the next month or two, but I am optimistic by the end of the year this project will be in a much more complete state.
Anyhow, thanks for bearing with me and I appreciate the interest in this.
