Could we add an option to turn off the bias tee after done with radio?

I have an rtl_sdr blog v3 radio and at least for that one, if any app turns on the bias tee such as rtl_fm or gnuradio, it will remain on even after those apps exit.
I'm running off battery and would like to minimize the power consumption while the pi is idle, leaving the bias t on seems to be adding 300ma of power consumption.
There is the 'rtl_biast' command which will turn off (or on) the bias tee.
It would be nice if there was an option to turn off the bias tee when the radio is not in use.
