I like to take images for reference, but it is currently very hard to so using android TV's built in methods. So far, I have failed at all my attempts. I have tried the native screenshot function as well as scrcpy, but both only save a picture of a black screen, which I presume is an anti-piracy protection. Funny enough, the subtitles show up fine. My last resort would be to root and install magisk, but my device is kind of shit, and I'm not even sure it would work.
Right now, I have to take pictures of my television with my phone, and of course they all come out terrible.
Proposed solution
Add a simple "share" or "screenshot" button that would hide the UI and take a still frame, saving it on the images folder.
Alternatives considered
Perhaps removing the Secure Flag, if it's present? I don't know.
