Support for Aurora MySQL v2 now released by AWS - will this library support this? #132
Comments
Hi @tfrancois. I just saw this news myself. It looks like the spec for the API has changed a bit, but I plan on investigating an upgrade path. |
@jeremydaly Do you think this can be implemented anytime soon? |
An update for serverless v2 would be magical 🎉 |
Will try and look at it in the next few days! |
@jeremydaly Any updates? The support for v1 will end by the end of the year. |
Any updates here? V1 will be forcefully updated in march... |
@jeremydaly any plans on v2 or should we abandon ship?🛳️ 🚣 |
@jeremydaly I understand that this is an open source library and that you might be busy and you don't have any obligation whatsoever to work on it, but if you think you can't work on the upgrade before the AWS deadline at least let us know. It just takes one second to make a comment here. |
I've been experimenting with an upgrade path that includes support for both MySQL and Postgres and there is a lot of work left to be done given the current state of the code and the PRs waiting to be merged. There was another maintainer on this project for several years and I've not been involved for quite some time. It's taking me some time to reorient and reprioritize, but I still plan on migrating this to v2 by the March 31, 2025 deadline. |
Thanks @jeremydaly! |
AWS finally released availability of the Data API for MySQL provisioned Aurora database instances (it was only previously available for PostgreSQL databases. Will this library officially support this?
