I have searched the issue tracker for a feature request that matches the one I want to file, without success.

when placing text over shapes, keeping the transparent background for the text makes (obviously) the shapes behind it appear and the text hard to read. It would be very nice if draw.io would be able to interrupt the "line" of the shape in correspondence to the text background and keep only the "fill" visible.
Example:
Desiderata:
(i.e. here I obtained it setting the background to white but this does not work dynamically, if for example I set two different color backgrounds in the shape I won't have any way for it to work, like the following):
Describe the solution you'd like
I would like an additional "special" color in the background color option.
Describe alternatives you've considered
excalidraw does it automatically
