A question regarding project status has already been asked in the past (#65) but nothing much seems to have changed since then.

As someone who hasn't used JmesPath before, I can report that I had to spend a frustrating amount of time to navigate around all these various repos to finally discover that many of the features that I require, namely $, let, items() and group_by are already implemented in the community version of JmesPath and the JmesPath.Net library – but the official repo and docs still don't mention them.

May I humbly suggest to simply merge these features into the main repo (e.g. #21) and update the docs, as there seems to be no active effort to move the project forward here?

It's a shame to see such a useful project as JmesPath to stagnate when there is an active community that is eager to extend it with relevant features.
