unpic is a library that provides support for a wide-range of CDNs. You could have provider.set take an unpic transformer and you'd automatically support dozens of CDNs.

However, statically (ascorbic/unpic#104) isn't yet supported. I suspect they'd welcome it a PR though and I could probably put one together if you were open to switching over. At that point you could switch this over to the unpic API and support tons of CDNs.
