SP recovery w Dropbox (Sync + Compression + End-2-End enctrypo) n Auto Backups activated)

I have big problem, somehow I got to overwrite my Remote files with a local from a new device. This means I lost ALL my task, etc.
I had activated the abovementioned in the Title of this msg.
I have the last month only used the Android app...the problem happened when I tried to install SP on my DesktopPC also.

Now I do have 3 files on my Dropbox storage:
sp-archive.json (file stamp: 2024-09-18 11:24 am) 172 bytes
sp-main.json (file stamp: 2024-09-18 6:11 pm) 9.23 KB
sp.json (file stamp: 2024-07-03 12:21 pm) 30.55 KB

I noticed it was the MAIN file which had been changed...from a time point of view.
How do I recover my tasks/projects? which files should I recover. It's the one of the AM file-stamps that's contains my data.

Is it enough to just Recover the right version file? Restore it in folder...is it enough with 1 file recovery?
which one contains my data?

Is there an explanation somewhere online of the function of each of these 3 files?

PS! I have attached my Dropbox file versions view of these 3 files.

Hey there! I am sorry about your issue. The files you got should be enough to recover your data.

You only need sp-main.json and sp-archive.json. The other file is not used any more.

You need to merge the contents of both files into one. Afterwards you can import them from the main settings page.

When I used Encryption of the sync of the files to Dropbox...I assume it means they have to be decrypted before I can merge them, right?
How do I decrypt these files then?
Sorry I have no experience in this stuff )) ...and I appreciate you help. It's only small files luckily...as I just started using it not long time ago ))

Yes. You would need to to decrypt them. You would need to extract the relevant code from this app into a script und use that. I am afraid that there is no better way atm.

and Import only can be done from the Desktop interface, right?
as I don't have the the import/export function on my phone.

The one that is being synced are totally empty. So it would be enough to just Recover the earlier version, right? not necessary to merge the files, right?

Yes, I suppose so. Haven't tested it though :)
