Assert equivalences between IAO-D-Acts and CCO-D-Acts in machine-readable format #3

Since many classes are equivalent between IAO-D-Acts and CCO-D-Acts, these assertions can be be made axiomatically. Doing this in the original ontology looks extremely clunky and unkempt. Ideally, a 'merge' or 'translation' OWL/TTL file may be imported, which contains all and only the equivalence-class assertions. Proposed: extension ontology, as 'D-Acts-translation.owl'

This may be called a bridge file, or an overlay.

I will be creating a new OWL and TTL file that captures these equivalences. In order to do so:

  • The equivalences need to be identified
  • The equivalences need to be documented, so that they may be up for debate
  • When they are asserted in a machine-readable format, the reasoner needs to validate. I would like some peer review on this front.
