Basic auth requests triggers browser's authentication popup #196

When sending basic auth requests, it works as usual if you enter correct credentials, but it will trigger browser's authentication popup if server responds with 401 (Unauthorized).

Browsers affected so far:

  • Chrome 52.0.2743.116 (64-bit) (Mac OS X)
  • Safari

Browsers that weren't affected so far:

  • Firefox 43.0.4 (Mac OS X)
