Multistreamer User Guide

Concepts

So the overall idea of Multistreamer is you create "streams", then add "accounts" to those streams. You can associate as many accounts to as many streams as you'd like, and you can use one account on multiple streams. It's pretty flexible.

This allows you to organize your streams however you'd like. For example, maybe you stream to the same 2 accounts every week, but on Wednesdays you do a talk show, and on Sundays you play videogames. You could create one stream, and change your settings every Wednesday and Sunday, or you could create two streams, one with your show's regularly-used meta-info (like tags), and one with your videogame stream's regularly-used meta-info. It's really up to you!

Each "stream" gets its own stream key, if you make a lot of different streams (like I do), I highly recommend using OBS's "profiles" feature. Basically, each one of my streams has a corresponding OBS profile, so I can switch around quickly without changing my preferences around all the time.

Usage

The main Multistreamer page is the Index page, which has three main sections:

  • Your list of streams
  • Your list of accounts
  • Info on connecting to IRC.

Also, it's worth knowing that at anytime, you can click the word "multistreamer" in the top-left corner to get back to this index page.

Streams List

As stated above, each stream is a collection of accounts. Each stream has the following links:

  • Stream Dashboard -- this is where you change all your stream's settings, add/remove accounts, etc.
  • Stream Chat -- this page lets you read and respond to all your stream's chat/comments.
  • Stream Chat Widget -- this is a link you can embed into OBS if you'd like chat messages to appear on-stream.
  • Delete Stream

Accounts List

This is the list of accounts the user has added. You can share some accounts with other users. There's also links for adding new accounts.
