Guild Wars 2 Xbox One Controller (Steam)

This config use the steam controller config "[guild wars 2] casual combat" VDF file.

Here is the link to Steam controller layout steam://controllerconfig/1284210/2869092851 open this in your web browser and if you have steam client installed and running it should open in the steam client controller config window.

Game Settings

Action Camera Key assignment is very important for this controller scheme to work

• MUST have the Action Camera shortcut set to the "insert" key
  • Once key is assigned, when you enter the game you’ll have to enable the Action Camera by pressing and holding button.
• Use default keybindings
• Enable Autotargeting

Custom Menus

Pressing the key will activate the custom menus action set. Rotating the left side stick will bring up a Menu wheel for your game menus and rotating the right side stick will bring up your mounts wheel.

On the left side stick there is a sub-menu for your hero templates, entering this sub-menu you can rotate the left side stick to bring up the build templates wheel and rotating the right side stick will bring up the equipment templates wheel.

Whenever entering game menus like "Inventory", "Hero" etc you'll drop into the Mouse Menu actions set.

Tips and Tricks

• When you login, on the Character selection screen use to select and login with selected Character.
• Hold and Toggle the Action Camera key to enable Mouse cursor.
• Enable AoE Loot on Interact and Auto Loot Pickup
• Hold and use right joystick to move around Map.
• When in Inventory Custom Menu use to send item to chat.
• When in Map use to send Waypoint ID to chat.
• Click the joystick middle button to cancel Ground Targeting.
• When an NPC dialog is open use to select the dialog.
• To select your rewards, disable the Action Camera and use the button and select reward, move mouse with , and re-enable Action Camera when done.

Issues

• Guild wars 2 can only toggle the Action Camera. When you enter the game you'll have to enable the Action Camera by pressing and holding button.
• When you open the Map, it doesn't activate the Map Action Set. Press button to activate the Map Action Set.
