The changelog at http://jterrace.github.io/sphinxtr/singlehtml/index.html#changes mentions that short caption is now supported. LaTeX needs this for multi-paragraph captions. I wonder if this is the reason it was implemented, and how to input a multi-paragraph caption (multiple :caption:) with figtable? If not possible, could figtable be easily extended to handle that?
(and BTW, thanks for a great extension, you fixed the most shortcomings of sphinx for me. They should definitely upstream most of your work.)
