Body Armor is considered three pieces (arms, chest, and legs)
Heavier armor interferes with the wearer’s ability to move quickly, stealthily, and freely. If the Armor Bonuses and Limitations table shows “Str 12” or “Str 16” in the Strength column for an armor type, the armor reduces the wearer’s speed by 4 meters unless the wearer has a Strength score equal to or higher than the listed score.
Shields
An actor's base shields is determined by their chest peice, by default this is 5 shield points and a regen of 5, hwoever most chest peices set this to different values. Armour peices can have properties that increase this.
Set Bonus
Armour peices can form sets with other armour peices. These can grant set bonuses which give extra depending on how much of the set you have equipped.
