Alt codes don't seem to work.

Hello, coming from AHK, I'm trying to replicate a simple layer that remaps mjkluio789 to numpad keys.

This works, except that I can't seem to input any alt codes (alt + a sequence of numpad keys). What could I be doing wrong?

for me it works with the interception version, but fails also with the normal version

Thank you for the replies. I tried winiov2 and alt codes did work, but now the numpad keys aren't registering. They do show up on https://en.key-test.ru/, but don't register everywhere else (notepad, etc). I'm using the US keyboard layout on Windows, if that's relevant. I'm kinda reluctant to try the interception version given oblitum/Interception#25.

Edit: Turns out the numpad keys 2, 4, 6, and 8 act as arrows, which I'm fine with, but is there a way to change them to numbers for when I do need them?

Does numlock state change anything?

Oh, somehow I thought numlock was a hardware-level key and that it wouldn't exist on my 60% keyboard. I just found this:
