Spent an hour going between pi hole & yt app logging ad traffic. Probably should have (r1 through r20 & rr1 through rr20) for the bbvbax, jvhj5nu & p5qddn7z domains. That I've found so far.

Some at the bottom might be regular vids as no ad videos played.

Seems to only last a few mins.

If ublock on chrome can regex it there has to be a script kitty hack.

I watch yt mostly on smart tv. Would be nice to pi hole it

What about blacklisting *.googlevideo.com and have a whitelist of video sub domains.

What does s.youtube.com & redirector.googlevideo.com do?

Unfortunately this is hopeless. I did the same and the problem was that I ended with a black loop on my edge devices. Youtube could not start the video at all. Youtube hosts ads on his very own servers that is why pihole can not block the dns of youtube as you would block the youtube as whole. For me it helps to have ublock and watching youtube videos over the browser.

Even when the script is scheduled to update blacklist itself, for me it sometimes work and sometimes not. I often have to whitelist them....
