MetSizeR 2.0.0

  • Removed previous package GUI which relied on dependency 'gWidgets' which is no longer maintained.
  • Moved package functionality to a Shiny application.
  • Improved code performance by updating operations to use 'Rfast' package methods where possible.
  • Added functionality to handle categorical covariates.
  • Increased data sizes accepted by the MetSizeR algorithm.
  • Restructured package code for readability - separated functions for different purposes.
  • Added a NEWS.md file to track changes to the package.
