German and Danish users are having problems related to the AltGr key on their keyboard. This key is used to enter special characters, but the ribbon interface appears to be treating it as a normal Alt key and thus key tips are displayed and the user cannot enter the special character.
Note this may also be related to issues we have seen where the left Alt key and the right Alt key exhibit different behaviour: Pressing and holding the left Alt key and then typing something (Enter, for example) does not trigger the key tips when the Alt key is released. That is, pressing and releasing the left Alt key with nothing typed in between is necessary to trigger the alt keys. Pressing and holding the right Alt key, typing something (Enter), and then releasing the Alt key does trigger the tool tips. As typing something with an Alt key held is used to trigger different functionality, I think the left Alt key behaviour is correct.

Thanks, that would be great. I'm at the tail end of the color layer replacement (for #400), with probably a couple more weeks of code changes. Then I'll split the time left in this release between documentation updates and fixing bugs. The target date for this release is May 30th, and that is unlikely to change since it will be the 20th anniversary of this project.
