Processes can have comments (and Korrekturhinweise which seem to be a specially marked type of comment). Comments can be added through a well hidden menu inside the metadata editor. To see which processes do have comments you need to add the comment-column in the process list. A mouseover allows you to view the comments already, which is good. But to reply to the existing comments or add a new comment again you have to enter the whole metadata editor for each process.
Describe the solution you'd like
There are two possible solutions:
Add a button inside the process list to add a comment. In order to avoid another column this button could be Comment-Icon itself (greyed out instead of disappeared if there are no comments yet). The window that appears on mouse over right now should become permanent and contain a prompt for entering a new prompt at the bottom.
Add an entry to the „Actions“ menu at the bottom left that reads „Comment“. This way it is harder to see the comments that are already attached to a process but it could be used to add comments to several/all selected processes at once.
Describe alternatives you've considered
Opening the metadata editor for a lot of processes in different browser tabs (and copypasting comments) can be used to get the same result but is cumbersome. Also, you cannot open a lot of processes in the metadata editor at once but have to click on each of them, click on „comments“ in the metadata editor and then click on „comment“ in the metadata editor. That is a lot of clicks if you want to comment on lots of processes.
Additional context
Currently this looks like something we could very much. It is to be seen if we are going to use the process list as much as we do right now or if in the future everyone is either ”in the metadata editor” or ”behind ActiveMQ“.

Using the COMMENT task action from ActiveMQ would be another good and efficient solution but does not have a GUI.
