Plugin disabled at startup of kodi 17.1 with addon version 2.4.4 #142
Comments
As 17.6 is the latest kodi version you are probably due an update. My guess is the addon version has dependencies on a later kodi version.

Hi, I am running kodi 17.1 on debian 9 + lxde (debian package version 2:17.1+dfsg1-3), pvr.vuplus is installed also via debian package (version 2.4.4+git20160820)
At each startup I get a message from kodi that the vu plus pvr plugin is not compatible with this version of kodi and is disabled (see screenshot).
When I enable the plugin manually everything works fine. The startup message is annoying though.
Am I doing something wrong?

Ok, but debian stable channel does consider this the latest version of kodi :) it doesnt give possibility to install newer and at the same time it installs the plugin in the version that is not matching... okay I will try to update the kodi out of debian unstable channel and report on this later. So we could say your latest plugin version is not compatible with any official debian kodi latest package. (though it works) |
Did you get this to work eventually? |
Moved all dialog to #154 |
@michalhainc, I did some digging and you are correct, the latest plugin that you should use is the 2.x versions but I don't know why you get that error message. Here is the latest Krypton release: https://github.com/kodi-pvr/pvr.vuplus/releases/tag/2.4.12-Krypton Unfortunately I only started maintaining this addon version 3.x onwards so I'm not too sure why you get the error because really you shouldn't. This may just be a bug in version 2.4.4 of the addon which is fixed in 17.6 of kodi krypton and 2.4.12 of the addon. I see 17.6 has moved to Testing for Debian, so hopefully you won't have too long a wait. |
Hi, thanks for digging, I will test it once it comes out in stable channel |
Cool, will close issue for now. Once you get 17.6 let me know if the issue persists by opening a new issue. |
