Some .svg image downloads may be corrupted

From the IBD genomes browser, I downloaded the NOD2 exon image.
I can open it in my browser window and look at it, but am unable to open it for editing in Inkscape or Google Drawings (I currently don't have access to Adobe Illustrator).
Inkscape says it has encountered an internal error and quits. Google Drawings also refuses to open it.

This issue doesn't happen with all images (NOD2 association image is fine, as is the PAPD5 exon image).
