If the temperature of the 4K plate exceeds some value (probably 4K), the ADR's status cannot be set to "magging down", even if there is current in the magnet. (!!) Any attempt to change the status results in a status of "cooling down". This can be a problem if, for instance, the compressor stops running while the magnet is at full field. Then there is no way to mag down using the software.
Along this line of thinking, it would be wise to be able to control the magnet fully independently of the "ADR's status". A quicker fix might be to change the status definitions to allow magging down regardless of any thermometer readings.
