Feature Request/Question... Is it possible to add the ability to have 2 different sidebar items open at the same time? #743
Comments
Wow, that was quick! I guess my initial thought was to have them
side-by-side rather than on top of each other since I was thinking people
with wide monitors would have no problem with wasting some extra east-west
space (if you get my meaning).
That being said, I have a mac hooked up to an external monitor and a magic
trackpad... so, scrolling a little in each wouldn't be so bad and would
definitely be better than having to go through the hassle of switching
between them.
Please let me know if you have questions about what I am envisioning or if
you would like me to help test anything. I am already on the 3.0.44 Canary
version but would be happy to help test a pre-alpha version if it would
help.
Thanks again!!

Maybe?!?
I thought for sure it wouldn't be possible but I seem to be able to do it.
I don't know how stable or easy to use it would be though. You're really
cramping how much space is for both widgets...

Ah... side by side. Maybe? That gets a fair bit harder as the area needed is dynamic based on how many sidebar add-ons are open. I'm heads down on getting v3 out to everyone with my overhaul of settings being the remaining task there. I'll come back to this after I've got that done. |
Thanks again for your hard work on this!

I would like this feature as stacked on top of each other. I admit, I am in a small group of people who run their monitors in portrait orientation, so I have LOTS of white space below the calendar |
Hi Again,
I have a pretty wide monitor and I was wondering if it would be possible to add the ability to 2 sidebar items (e.g., Calendar and Tasks) open at the same time (i.e., both on the right of the screen)?
I use both Calendar and Tasks a lot and since Google refuses to integrate Tasks more directly into Google Calendar I was trying to figure out a way to access both at the same time and not have to switch back and forth.
Thanks for all the work you do to make email less painful!!
