BitBucket issue comment syntax change on Oct 4, 2012 #100

What steps will reproduce the problem?

Export issues of a project hosted on Google Code to BitBucket. Make sure the 
selected project has issues that date from prior to Oct 4, 2012.

What is the expected output?

Expected issue comments to be marked-up/formatted correctly.

What do you see instead?

Comments to issues dating prior to Oct 4, 2012 appear incorrectly formatted. 
This seems to be due to the fact that on Oct 4, 2012, BitBucket switched from 
Creole to Markdown as its default markup/format for issue comments. This 
"epoch" date was found on the following BitBucket issue #8926 from a BitBucket 
staff member:
