The plugin doesn't handle the command "Wo [week] (MMMM)" well, but understands "W [week] (MMMM)" correctly.
"Wo [week] (MMMM)" - After clicking the button, a copy of the template is created. If you open another file and then click the button again, an error occurs.
"W [week] (MMMM)" - After clicking the button, a copy of the template is created. If you open another file and then click the button again, the already created file is opened.

I'm having the same issue! However, even after I got rid of "WO" in the syntax, I get the error unable to create new file (it works the first time but never again). How did you get it to work?
