On ubuntu, version of clang-tidy are installed with the following format clang-tidy-VERSION such as clang-tidy-16. Currently clang-tidy is the only version that is checked. That version may be old. It would be desirable to be able to :
Select the greatest version by default on the system
Allow the user to specify which version they want (these can be separate PRs)
This will enable older versions of Ubuntu to use clang-tidy on CI and on developer machines.
