Screenshot-based unit testing

I'd like some form of unit testing, if possible, where we could confirm that various layouts translate appropriately using compared screenshots.

I have no idea how this might be possible yet, but it would make me feel a lot better about the project than the way we verify it works now, which is simply the practical usage in our commercial applications.
