RxJs using a pipe() function extensively, where one can pass in multiple operators.

Translation right now ends up calling pipe a whole bunch, but we might be able to set something up that merges pipe calls like so:

thing.pipe(operator).pipe(operator)
//to
thing.pipe(operator, operator)
