LND Only Shows a Few Old Closed Channels After Automatic Restart

My LND node starts without any issues, but after it restarted automatically, I can only see a few channels that were closed a long time ago. No open or recently closed channels are visible. I’ve tried compacting the database, and the process completed successfully, but it didn’t resolve the issue. Is restoring from a Static Channel Backup (SCB) the last resort, or is there something else I should try first?

When was the node originally created? What version did you use when it was created vs now?

Do you have any automated backup mechanisms that could've restored an old state? Did you check pending channels if they are in the process of being closed perhaps?

I don't have an automated backup mechanism. This is what pending channels return

It is also worth mentioning that Lightning Network explorers correctly display open channels.

It sounds like your channel database experienced corruption or data loss. Without knowing more about the system or the circumstances it's hard to say why. I'd suggest investigating the cause for the automated restart (checking the logs, checking your bash history to exclude accidental deletion of the data directory and so on) to avoid the same problem in the future.

Unfortunately it sounds like restoring from SCB is the best option here (which will close all channels).

Strangely enough, I couldn't find anything that could explain this restart. I will try restoring from the static channel backup. Thank you.
