BG (1.7.2) allows Actions Groups to have up to 5 sets of action sets (default + 4 additional sets). This is for ALL Action Groups - not just the new Axis Controls that BG introduced.
For example, Gear (deploy landing gear) can now be set to perform 5 different sets of tasks. The default/normal action where brake capable parts are automatically bound; and 4 other sets that can be defined.
Adding Action Sets to SmartParts means that Actions performed by SmartParts can be allocated to any of the 4 additional sets.
So instead of just selecting a Group, we now select a Set and a Group, e.g. Set1/AG2, to perform actions. It means that Actions for SmartParts don't have to take up the default action set.
