sorry as I'm posting my inquiry as an issue.

As I'm new to flang and just started debugging code, I found "Introduction to the interior of the opensource Fortran frontend for LLVM" by "Paul Osmialowski". Can anybody share more detailed information on .ilm , .stb, AST etc.

Nihal, what you seek is the PGI Flang implementation. This mailing list serves the deprecated LLVM (clang style) frontend.
