change ease factor in browser #17
Comments
Changing ease factors is not something that should be encouraged but can be easily done. I do agree that there should be a friendly way to undo this. For your situation, 250% is the default and Anki has a bug where when you reschedule a card, it also reset the EF to 250%. So just disable ReMemorize addon, then use the browser to reschedule the card to the desired interval.

Any plans to have this action added to the ReMemorize browser actions in the future? I have a similar problem as galantra, with nearly a thousand cards down at 130%, mostly due to using "Hard" too much in my first few years using Anki, and I can't see myself following the above-mentioned procedure for so many cards. Until now I have been red-flagging these cards and changing their ease factors one-by-one with ReMemorize while reviewing them but it's going to take me years to go through all of them. There's the 'ResetEZ' add-on option, but I find the mechanics of the ReMemorize add-on so much less obtrusive and more "elegant" that I was hoping the feature would be added, and have the feeling that many other Anki users are in the same situation. I'm no coder/programmer, so I can't imagine how much work would be required to have this feature added, and I'm already extremely grateful for the huge daily help the add-on is in its current version. Thanks a lot! |
Another endorsement for adding functionality to change the ease factor in the card browser. You note that one should be careful with changing the ease factor. Agree, but the add-on already exposes that capability, only in a different location. It would be ideal in the card browser. |
I also agree with this- I think it could be a very useful feature |
As far as I know, it's only possible while reviewing a card. I accidentally changed some card's easy factor to e. g. "250", which functions like "1300" => 130 %. I wanted 250 %.
At the moment, I see no way how to reverse this.
