PiSDR Version 6.1 (64-bits) #75

Hello There, I was trying to install anydesk_6.1.1_armhf.deb, by enabling Mult-Arch (multi-architecture (armhf) support for PiSDR (arm64) version 6.1). I mistakenly deleted my sources at: /etc/apt/sources.list by following the instructions found here: https://wiki.debian.org/Multiarch/HOWTO Now my raspberry pi won't update correctly using : sudo apt update OR sudo apt full-upgrade as I believe there's an issue with my sources, list and it shows the errors. Can you please include the sources for this arm64 build? can we also expect an update that includes a Multi-Arch Setup that enables to install both arm64 and armhf packages? |

@luigifcruz Thank you so much for your PISDR. I spent several days trying to install GNURadio v9 and always encountered some errors. Your image works very well. Question: Would you consider to work on incorporating XTRX (https://github.com/xtrx-sdr/images) support but with 64-bit? I have installed and make it work but I had to add "dtoverlay=pcie-32bit-dma" to the /boot/config.txt so the CM4 can see it. |

Thanks for the PISDR. I have yet to install it on my PI400 until someone can tell me this is stable. Also what was your reason for nixing dump1090? |

I have put PiSDR on my RPi4. I looked would like to use SDRAngel but it seems that it has to be compiled. I have installed the new software on an Intel platform following the instructions on the SDRAngel Github site but I am confused what I have to do with the PiSDR. |

I burned this to a SD a few times over the past few days and it does not boot. Only opens flashing cursor. Any help? |

I reinstalled this morning without issues. I suggest that you try an alternate MicroSD device. They can get worn out over time. If that does not pan out, then it might be something to do with your Pi. Two options:

@luigifcruz This seems to be the same issue as @aphoenix55 reported in Mar 22. The SD card and RPi (tried on a Pi4 and on a Zero 2) are fine; the issue is within your image. Is a complete working image available? I'd be happy to use a 32-bit version if needed. |

Interesting. Which device are you using to boot?

I tried on a Pi Zero2W and on a Pi4. Neither works - as reported, the Pi
does not boot because kernel img is missing.
I eventually found and have installed the 32-bit version on the Pi Zero2W.
It's running fine.

flashes of green ACT LED, which means "kernel.img not present". Checking
the /boot directory, this file is indeed missing from the download, as are
kernel7.img and kernel7l.img which are usually present, thouh kernel8.img
is present.
Is a complete working image available?

Hi all, just recently downloaded the image, look forward in using this with my rtl-sdr and SDRplay. I'm wondering with the utilising rtl_ais can this be outputted to a html server such as AIS Dispatcher? |

This release is the first 64-bits image of PiSDR. This enables the software to use modern vector instructions (NEON) that help programs run faster. Some programs will run up to 60% faster than the 32-bits version!
Don't forget to run
volk_profile
on the terminal after booting up your Pi! This will optimize GNU Radio to run faster on your system.IMPORTANT: This is a 64-bits image. This means that it only works on the Raspberry Pi 4 (and 400), 3, 2, and Zero 2.
This update includes several new software listed below. More notability, GNU Radio Version 3.9, SDR++, and SDRplay. Please, open an issue if something isn't working as expected. We recommend Etcher or Raspberry Pi Imager to flash the
.img.xz
file into a MicroSD Card.Updates from v6.1
