Hiding from Store

Besides hiding root from sensitive (secure) apps, you can also hide installed apps from an app store.
This is convenient if you have an app installed that is:

  • Installed from a different app store.
  • Modified.
  • Older version.

This is an example of hiding app(s) from Google Play Store.

Create a Blacklist Template.

Open HMA from your app drawer.

Tap on Template Manage

On the next screen tap Create A Blacklist Template

On the following screen, type PlayStore into the Template Name box, then tap Edit List, just below and to the right.

Select the app(s) you want to hide from PlayStore.

When your done, tap the back navigation key, swipe back or tap the back arrow in top left to return to main HMA screen.

From the main HMA Settings menu, tap App Manage.

On the following screen, you'll see a list of all your apps.
Scroll down to Google Play Store and tap on it.

  • Tap the toggle to the right of Enable Hide to enable hiding.
  • Under Template Config (toward bottom) tap Using 0 Template

On the popup window that appears:

  • Tap the checkbox next to PlayStore to select the PlayStore template.
  • Tap OK to close the popup window.

You should now see a screen similar to this.

Now tap the back navigation key, swipe back or tap the back arrow in top left to return to main HMA screen.

Please Note:

  • Any time you make a configuration change in HMA, you might need to reboot for it to take effect.
  • You can apply the same PlayStore template or create additional templates and apply them to Samsung's app store, Amazon's app store...
