Thanks for sharing this, it's excellent news. As for the Chinese language, if you search in the other issues, you can see it often cause problems even on older bodies. The latest PMCA builds shared around here and based on #356 purposely remove the Chinese language to prevent bugs.
Did you buy it directly from a physical store like Bic Camera, Sofmap or Yodobashi? I'll land there in 2 weeks, I hope I'll find one and they won't be out of stock.

While I'm here, a tangential question about your A7C2 : when you use electronic shutter only (aka, the Silent Mode), is it truly silent? I read conflicting reports about this on the internet when it comes to Sony cameras bought in Japan (due to Japanese laws or something making it so you can't take a photo silently, but as far as I know, it only applies to smartphones).

I haven’t encountered any camera other than smartphones with the forced shutter sound. Even gopros and such can be all silent. But this is just my experience

Nice, good to know. I assume you updated the firmware of your JP body with the file distributed on the Sony US website you linked? It really shows how this language lock is purely artificial, with the firmware file being the exact same across all regions.

I'm still very bad in Korean especially in filmmaking terminology. So I want to unlock English language on my camera.
I've read and watched videos you linked. I translate Chinese article link above with google translator because @RadioDisney has the same Sony A7CM2 model I tried that method and failed. Even with a new pmca_gui V.018-22 file which was recommended under the video linked by @HootH00t which activated "Service Mode tweaking".
Thankfully my camera didn't convert to brick. And that for me is already achievement because I'm certainly not a programmer I'm complete noob in programming but I know for sure that missing only one small detail could lead to disastrous problems.
Thank you for your links and recommendations. I still have hope to unlock missing languages and I noticed
that in @HootH00t linked video author activates pmca_console file, step which was missing in Chinese article.
@HootH00t I need your help. What was your exact steps in tweaking your A7CM2?
Also is there a new versions of that files pmca_console and pmca_gui files?

Unfortunately I didn't have pop-up window with check boxes with parameters to unlock. And there wasn't second "Sony USB device" driver installation option.

1. Please tell me, during unlocking did you start "pmca_console" file?
2. And did you have "Sony USB device" driver installation option?
3. And after unlocking do you have any problem with scrolling through Chinese language line? They say when searching through languages if it goes through Chinese language camera system freezes and reboot.

1. I tried that method. Didn't work in my case, I didn't have pop-up window with check boxes with parameters to unlock
2. Didn't have in drop down menu "Sony USB device" driver installation option
3. And there wasn't any other issues? If so I can live with that, because choosing language is done only once, before usage.

Yes, you can.
Also, updates are going well (after languages unlock, do not forget to use the version from PR with the languages menu crash fix).
I've updated 1.00 > 1.01 > 1.02 with no issue whatsoever.

I was able to use Windows, but, apparently my a7c ii is using USBSTOR instead of WinUSB. Zadig could not update the driver to libusb-win32. Anyone else having this issue?
