unmount does not work for non-admin #73
Comments
it is quite possible Dokan added support for this after fuse-bindings was last updated, as @mafintosh does not actively check this anymore. Your best bet is going to be to manually update fuse-bindings yourself in a fork, unfortunately |
There was a previous effort to update it to fuse 3, I think the fork was called fuse3-bindings, but I'm not sure what's its actual state. |
also a word of advice, WinFSP is a bit fancier and better than Dokan in general, so you might have better luck integrating with that like I did for a while with my fuse-bindings fork (no longer works and no longer maintained): https://github.com/DuroSoft/fuse-bindings |
thanks for your comments @sam0x17 @piranna. I was using fuse-bindings since I felt it would support both Linux and Windows without much change, whereas WinFSP is limited to windows. There seems to be difference in mount options between Dokan and FUSE (as documented in Linux Man pages). Would you know, on windows if the Dokan options are respected by fuse-bindings? |
Hi,
I have been struggling to get the unmount to work in non-admin mode. Apparently Dokan supports it (based on their documentation) but I am not having any success unmounting in non-admin mode with fuse-bindings. I am on Windows10.
when I try to unmount, I get the an Error (with message as Error) and the unmount does not go through.
Any suggestions/help would help me a lot
