✅ Prerequisites

  • [YES] Did you perform a cursory search of open issues? Is this feature already requested elsewhere?
  • [YES] Are you reporting to the correct repository (magic-sdk)?

✨ Feature Request

Although we have available European Portuguese locale 'pt', unfortunately there is still a barrier for ordinary people in Brazil to understand it. Some of the terms do not make sense, especially the ones used in Magic's pop-up:

🧩 Context

According to ChainAnalysis, Brazil is the 7th country in crypto adoption despite the fact that most wallets are not in pt-BR (imagine if they were...)

(note: Out of 234 million people that speak Portuguese, 216 million are from Brazil)

I've recently worked on a project to translate a wallet connector to pt-BR and will be happy to contribute to this one if possible/necessary.

Hello @LuwkasLima , thank you for raising this issue! We will work on including support for pt-BR!

We will follow up with you in this issue thread when support for Brazilian Portuguese is available. Thanks again for reporting this and thanks for the metrics and offer to help. I think this may be a simple lift for us but will reach out if that changes.

I'll gladly translate or proofread if help is needed :)

@pgbrandao We appreciate the offer, but the translation functionality is handled by a tool we use. Should be a simple lift for us, just a matter of time when we add support for additional languages. I will follow up here when pt-BR support is added.

@ViniciusTenenteSecurrency

Any news on that? I would like to see pt-br localization as well.
