There is not. As of January 2025 nobody is working on this either to my knowledge.

If you are just interested in this feature, and want to stay up to date on any progress, please just leave a thumbs up on this thread and subscribe to get notified.

I have not spoken to a lot of people people for which globe projection seemed a (business) critical feature. But maybe now that MapLibre GL JS has this available, I can imagine there will now be some serious interest to implement this for MapLibre Native as well. But it will not be trivial to implement... If someone does want to pour in some serious time (or money) into implementing this, feel free to comment on this issue.


For reference: MapLibre GL JS now has adaptive globe projection. The style spec was also extended with various properties for this functionality. https://maplibre.org/maplibre-style-spec/types/#projectiondefinition
