pkg not listed on pfsense 23.05-RELEASE

I'm running pfsense version 23.05-RELEASE but unable to add the pkg. I ran the following command:

fetch -q -o /usr/local/etc/pkg/repos/Unofficial.conf https://raw.githubusercontent.com/marcelloc/Unofficial-pfSense-packages/master/27_unofficial_packages_list.patch

and also tried

fetch -q -o /usr/local/etc/pkg/repos/Unofficial.conf https://raw.githubusercontent.com/marcelloc/Unofficial-pfSense-packages/master/Unofficial.conf

I confirmed that the Unofficial repo is there and I also tried running pkg update -f after adding the unofficial but no luck.

I had this same problem with pfsense+ 23.09. I applied the system patch as directed and downloaded the 2.5 / 2.6 / 2.7 unofficial.conf file.
I then edited the file to both remove "pkg+" from the url and changed the mirror type to "none" as shown below. This allowed searching and installation of WPAD and e2guardian (other official packages as well).
