Create sort functions inside category pages (including "All"):

  • alpha
  • date and/or SIP#
  • of jars left in stock

I like this idea. Right now I'm thinking of a thin div between the category description and the products. On the left half of the div will be "Sort by" and a dropdown listing the sort options, and on the right half will be something about how many products to display. If you can identify a particular website with good sort options, let me know and I will look it over for ideas.

Just bumping this request since it came up today. ;)

Sort by category (mead type) would be good too. Any retail site has good sorting examples. I'll keep my eye out.

Okay, to confirm: you want a relevance dropdown like Amazon has, but the categories you want are alphabetical (a-z and z-a) date (old-new and new-old) and stock (low-high and high-low).

Maybe throw in product reviews even though nobody ever uses them :-(
