Recommendation for compression format?

I've been using 7-zip because that seems to give the best compression, but I seem to remember Maurice recommending WIM because it would take advantage of dedup on the DPs.
Worth it? I think my highest priority would be speed of download and processing during imaging.

I have been using WIM mainly because WIM is supported during OSD. We were not using compression before and had issues with downloading driver package during OSD which was taking hours.
