Keep the new auto start function in mind, that allows for a remote controlled start (only PS3 Sixaxis so far).

I've renamed this issue so it can't be confused with the auto-start function, that launches XBMX when the first controller is being switched on.

Thanks for creating this issue!!

Ok, check out enable_rr_autostart() in the latest beta I pushed (commit ba9d629). The latest batch of Steam launcher changes and this need tested, so tomorrow I need to do 1-2 scratch installs to see how things go before further changes.
