Revisiting the Past: Outreach discussion #78
Comments
From what I remember the city of memphis talks went "hey we should talk" "yes we should" and never went any farther. AFAIK that contact is gone and if we want to connect with the city whoever wants to handle that should feel free to treat it as an evergreen contact.
Yes but we need a landing page better than meetup. Maybe a page on the MTF site that explains wtf all this is and why it's important. Bonus for videos of storytelling like @gpspake mentioned.
@brob and @bradmontgomery are the ones with the most contacts. Most of the time we poll internally by asking "hey I want to talk to $company about $reason do we have any contacts?". |
We should have a press kit. |
What does that mean?
I would be interested to hear what people like @gpspake suggest in this regard. Videos seem like an obvious avenue, but I would imagine we would want a more coordinated marketing campaign with videos being only a part of it. ( Possible @brob question: What do the people at RocketFuel or A>M do that have yielded success in the past? ) |
If you want to make contact with the city feel free, but it would be a fresh starting point since we don't have any contacts atm (that I'm aware of. anyone who does feel free to jump in) |
Essentially :allthethings:
Do we know that "one person" or know the person who does?
How did the City of Memphis talk(s) go? What did they cover?
Do we have that "collateral"? Media | Press kits, etc?
