I used the "Import notes" command from the command palette and instead of applying my template file, an empty file was created. This was also the case if I created a "dummy template" containing only a string literal that should not depend on the input. This behavior occurred for almost all of my literature items except a few which worked as expected, but I did not recognize any pattern. The preview command produced the correct data (even the correctly substituted template):

I have encountered the same problem when using 'Import notes', but when I chose
'Import # 1' (for you maybe try Import Litterature Reference) and it worked.
