This channel is not responding

The download hangs and I get this message when I try to "force" success or failure.

What is the server running on?
Is curl or wget installed properly?
When you open a terminal and type curl --version or wget --version, do you get any response?

Please attach the file ss.log from your Plug-ins/ss-plex.bundle/ directory.

nothing relevant there, but trying to remove a download gives: "This
channel is not responding".
