Description

Crafting and salvaging currently requires that users edit/open items in their inventory. It can be difficult to find the items and takes a few clicks to get the crafting or salvage apps open.

This can, and should, be streamlined.

Benefit(s)

  • Improves Fabricate's usability significantly
  • Makes it possible to add new features more easily
    • Learning recipes
    • Changing source actor for components
  • Makes it possible to open up this window without even needing to open the character sheet (default to user's primary owned actor)

Potential Implementation(s)

Users should be able to open up an App from their character sheet which enables:

  • Browsing and searching owned and "known" recipes more easily (yes, learning recipes as a new feature)
  • Crafting recipes directly from this window
  • Optionally changing the selection of components to use when crafting (Fabricate will pick some sensible defaults)
  • Browsing and search owned, salvageable components more easily
  • Salvaging components directly from this window
  • Selecting a different source actor for consumed components
